This Week’s Pro Bono Success Story

An Air Force airman stationed in Alaska was going through a divorce filed in Maryland, where custody issues involving a young child were a part of the case. Though the airman wanted shared custody and visitation, the adverse party sought sole custody. The Military Pro Bono Project located a pro bono attorney in Maryland to represent the servicemember in the divorce, and he was ultimately able to get a favorable custody and visitation order, allowing him to continue being an actively involved father in his child’s life.
