This Week’s Military Pro Bono Project Success Story

April 25, 2011

A soldier’s child lived with the child’s Reservist father in Illinois.  The child’s Reservist father was then scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan, and the soldier wanted their daughter to reside with her during the father’s deployment.  The soldier needed pro bono help to make an arrangement so the child could reside with her in Texas during the father’s deployment without violating a previous joint parenting agreement.  The Military Pro Bono Project found the solider a pro bono attorney who successfully helped the soldier and Reservist agree to a new parenting agreement that was then entered into court.
