Another Success Story

June 8, 2011

An Air Force servicemember purchased a condominium, and a home inspection did not disclose any material defects. However, after the purchase, severe mold problems were discovered in the home, and the servicemember and his wife vacated the condominium due to concerns over the safety of the premises. They were then unable to make the mortgage payments. The condominium was then set to be foreclosed upon. A foreclosure put the servicemember’s security clearance at risk. Before the foreclosure date, the ABA Military Pro Bono Project found an attorney who successfully stopped the foreclosure and was able to pursue other alternatives.
