Volunteer Attorney Helps Soldier Who Was a Domestic Violence Victim with Divorce

An Army servicemember, who had been a victim of physical and emotional abuse, sought pro bono help with a divorce. Unable to afford an attorney, the soldier turned to a military legal assistance attorney, who referred this case to the ABA Military Pro Bono Project. The Project located a volunteer attorney who helped this soldier leave this unhealthy relationship by obtaining a divorce.
